Do I need to sign in with Xero to connect my Xero organisation to Sinchii?
No, you do not need to be logged in to Sinchii with your Xero account to link your Xero organizations to Sinchii. Users who sign in with a Sinchii account can still link Xero organisations to their account.
I created an account with the ‘Log in with Xero’ button, or via the Xero App store, why don’t I see my organisations?
Sinchii does not automatically bring across your Xero data. You must grant Sinchii access to your Xero data by creating a new organisation linked to the organisations you wish to view.
When and how does data syncing occur?
Sinchii will refresh your organisation’s data from Xero when you log in to the Sinchii system, or on initial organisation creation. Once logged in you can manually trigger a refresh by selecting the ‘Sync Data’ button available on the profit and loss screen.
Note, that once you trigger a refresh, there is a short delay before you will be able to trigger another data refresh.
Why are only some of my accounts being pulled across?
The accounts shown in your Chart of Accounts within Sinchii are only those you’ve marked as ‘expense accounts’ in Xero. All revenue, direct costs, other income, and sales accounts are combined into a single entry per type, which Sinchii automatically adds for you.
Not all your expense accounts will necessarily be synced. To streamline the interface, Sinchii excludes any expense accounts that have maintained a $0 balance over the previous three financial years.
Can I link my Xero organisation to a pre-existing Sinchii organisation?
No, you cannot link your Xero organisation to an existing Sinchii organisation. To import this Xero data, you will need to create a new organisation (see ‘Getting Started’ for more information) that is linked to this Xero organisation.
Why can’t I connect my non-Australian Xero organization to Sinchii?
Sinchii is currently only supported for Australian-based customers. If your Xero organisation is set to a region outside of Australia, it cannot be linked to Sinchii.
My organization isn’t showing up when I link to Sinchii?
A Xero organisation can only have one active link to Sinchii at any one time. If you, or somebody else has already linked your organization to Sinchii, you must first remove the connection, or delete the organization from Sinchii.

Will Sinchii make any changes to my data in Xero?
Sinchii only reads data from your connected Xero organisation. It does not update any data within Xero at this time.
How do I disconnect from Xero?
There are several ways to disconnect your Xero organisation from Sinchii:
- Disconnect via the ‘Connected Services’ section of the Sinchii website
- Deleting your organisation from within Sinchii
- Revoke access to Sinchii via the Xero dashboard

Sinchii is reporting that my Xero organisation is disconnected?
Your Sinchii organisation may become disconnected from it’s Xero counterpart for a number of reasons:
- If you have not logged in to Sinchii for some time, access to your Xero organisation may have expired.
- You have revoked Sinchii’s access to your organisation via the Xero dashboard
- Sinchii attempted to contact Xero to sync data, but was met with an unresolvable error (indicating that Xero may be unavailable or experiencing other unexpected issues)
