Creating a new organisation linked to Xero
The following guide will help you through the process of creating a new organisation within Sinchii that is linked to an organisation you manage within Xero. Organisations linked to Xero can automatically pull data from the service to streamline your budget forecasting process.
Connect to Xero
To create a new Xero-linked organisation, when prompted to create a new organisation (either during sign-up, or if creating additional organisations after signing up), select the ‘Connect with Xero’ button and click ‘Next’.
Select your organisation(s)
After opting to connect to Xero, you will be taken Xero’s login portal. If you are not already logged in to Xero, you will need to do so now. If you are already logged in, or following login, you will be shown a screen where you can select the organisation(s) that you would like to authorise Sinchii to be able to access.
If you only have one organisation in Xero, the selected organisation will be pre-filled. Some drop down options may already be selected if you had previously linked them to Sinchii.
Handle multiple organisations
If you authorise Xero to allow Sinchii to access two or more organisations that are not currently linked to Sinchii organisations, you may be prompted to select one of the organisations available.
Note, that this screen will only show you organisations you are able to connect to Sinchii. Organisations that are already in use (excluding disconnected) by you, or another user will not be shown in this list. This popup will not show if there is only one available ‘free’ organisation to choose from.
Complete signup
You will then be prompted to complete the new organisation wizard. Sinchii will pre-fill some fields based on your Xero organisation’s settings, but you are free to change these at any time during organisation creation.
Once you have filled in the relevant details and moved to the next step in the wizard, you will have a chance to review the chart of accounts entries being imported, and the current and previous financial year totals for these accounts.
You are required to tag which expense accounts are used for your wages/salaries, and superannuation. Sinchii will attempt to automatically tag these accounts during import, but should it be unable to find a matching account, you will need to specify this using the ‘Type’ drop down provided.
Finalise organisation creation
Once you have confirmed that the details in the review screen are correct, you will have successfully created a new Xero-linked organisation in Sinchii.
